Mid feb here in Jackson can be a warming trend, then the very next day freezing!
The previous day turned warm and so the ranch hands let the cows out into another paster. The contrast between the forground shadow with the distant mtn lite up was a driving force of this painting.

Tom, I think this is my favorite of the four you put on your blog today. Maybe I just like cows! They all capture a certain light and mood. Nice work.
